Cadence is a master-planned community located in the heart of Henderson, Nevada off of Lake Mead Parkway just east of Boulder Highway. Within convenient proximity of the Galleria Sunset Shopping Mall, neighborhood shopping centers, grocery stores, and restaurants, Cadence seems to be an ideal location. One really exciting feature Cadence is boasting about is the area’s only free residential bike-share program. Designed around bicycle programs developed in other regions of the country, Cadence’s bike-share program will be made up of “smart bikes,” bikes designed for bike sharing with wireless technology that enhances personal mobility and adds an eco-friendly openness to the community. Each bike will feature an integrated GPS-enabled lock that works with regular bicycle racks for convenience and security. Through Web and mobile applications (iOS, Android), users will be able to find, reserve and even book bicycles in advance through an interactive map on a smartphone, web browser or the bike’s own keypad.
Cadence is also hoping to satisfy the technology thirsty needs of it’s residents by being interconnected and integrated with communications, streaming media, lighting and security. Builders will have the option of offering broadband-equipped homes and there will be fiber-optic connectivity throughout the community, including Wi-Fi in the parks. While fulfilling the 21st century needs of the community, Cadence still plans to maintain its small-town feel, promising the best of yesterday and today combined to create a better community.
